Choose only the stages you want to analyse or transform.
Digital Systems Map & Budget
Start with the customer journey. Select the processes in scope, choose the systems that support them, configure the real technology and costs, and generate an executive map for IT and the CFO.
One journey. One systems map. One budget.
The workflow is deliberately sequential: define the customer-process scope first, then select technology. The software never drives the journey.
Use suggested systems or create a system that is specific to your organisation.
Add brand, licences, costs, critical data, status and connectivity.
Download the architecture image and the budget workbook for IT/CFO discussion.
Build the digital asset map
Every system you select becomes a configurable digital asset. The same asset can support several journey stages without duplicating its cost.
01 · Select the journey scope
Click every stage you want to include. Each selected stage remains active and gets its own systems row and its own line in the canvas. Use × only to remove a stage from scope.
02 · Choose the supporting systems
Each selected journey stage has its own row of suggested system labels. Select the assets that support each process; the configuration sheet opens only when you choose a label.
03 · Digital asset canvas
The canvas keeps one line per selected stage, so the full scope stays visible while you build the architecture.
From systems map to investment plan
The summary counts each configured system once, even when the same asset supports several stages. Stage charts allocate shared-system costs proportionally across their selected uses.

Four tangible outputs
The exercise is designed to leave a reusable business asset, not just a classroom answer.
A visual architecture showing which digital assets support each process.
Real system names, vendors, status, owners, licences and critical data.
API, webhook, batch or manual connectivity plus shared identifiers.
CAPEX and recurring OPEX ready for technology-investment discussion.
DIIIP explains how the systems map becomes a decision asset
The laboratory converts isolated technology names into structured evidence about process support, data, connectivity and investment.
Critical operational and customer fields produced or consumed by each system.
Systems, licences, owners, costs, status and identifiers organised by customer-journey stage.
The map exposes duplicated assets, manual gaps, missing integrations and investment dependencies.
Management can see where the architecture is complete, where it is fragile and where investment is required.
Connected systems can return the right action to CRM, service, commerce, operations and loyalty processes.
This systems map creates operational evidence for the KAI·ROI layer
The Digital Systems Map does not redefine KAI·ROI. It creates a structured view of the digital assets, investment and data flows that later support implementation, Customer Equity reasoning and defensible ROI decisions.
The formal KAI·ROI structure remains sovereign; this laboratory does not recalculate or reinterpret its variables.
